Condition report:

The brass surfaces exhibit light surface tarnishing and minor scratches consistent with decorative handling (photo 2). The wooden box shows minor scuffs to the finish (photo 1). The interior felt lining has visible dust and debris (photo 1). All mechanical components, including the gnomon, latitude arm, and levelling screws, appear complete and functional. The compass needle moves freely and the glass cover is intact without cracks.
