Description
A collection of vintage smoking accessories and tobacciana comprising a wooden box, two cigar cutters, an ornate brass ashtray, and various matchbooks and pipe stems. The wooden box contains several matchbooks, including a cream bookmarked with a green border and illustration of a ship, reading WILSON LINE HULL and BOOKMATCHES WITH COMPLIMENTS. Another matchbook features blue and red diagonal stripes and reads Muswell’s Cafe Bar. A separate rectangular box is printed with a house flag depicting a red anchor and reads BEN LINE, MANAGERS WM. THOMSON & CO. EDINBURGH, and SVENSKA TÄNDSTICKS AKTIEBOLAGET. The group includes a collection of pipe stems in various colours including amber, marbled brown, and red, some finished with brass collars. Metal accessories include a silver guillotine-style cigar cutter, a gold cigar punch with a wooden handle, a silver table lighter, and a gold lighter. The brass ashtray is decorated with ornate scrollwork and dragon figures to the rim.

Condition report:
The wooden box shows surface scuffing and wear to the edges (photo 1). The cardboard Ben Line box is heavily creased with significant wear to the corners and edges (photo 1). Metal items, including the lighters and ashtray, exhibit surface tarnishing and visible oxidation (photo 2). The matchbooks show typical age-related toning and minor edge wear (photo 1).
