Lot 49:
Description
A vintage electronic plush toy featuring the Dalmatian or Spotted colourway from the 1998 original series. The body is constructed from grey and black spotted synthetic faux-fur, complemented by a light pink plush chest and inner ears. The toy is designed with an internal mechanical chassis that operates a yellow plastic beak, moving plastic eyelids with dark eyelashes, and large grey eyes with spiral-patterned irises. The ears and three-toed feet are finished in a felt-like fabric. A purple cardboard swing tag is attached to the side via a plastic fastener, displaying a graphic of a black and white electronic toy on the front. A maker’s label or tush tag is not visible on the exterior of the plush.
Height: 15 cm.
Condition report:
The synthetic fur exhibits matting and play wear, notably on the pink chest area (photo 1). Dust and fine debris are present within the eyelashes and the recesses of the eye sockets (photo 1). The yellow plastic beak shows minor surface scuffing and small dark marks to the upper edge (photo 1). The felt ears show light piling and minor discolouration to the tips (photo 2). The cardboard swing tag is creased horizontally across the centre and shows significant wear and softening to the edges (photo 2). The internal electronic mechanisms have not been tested for operational status.
