Description
A vintage portable manual typewriter featuring a metal body with a beige crinkle enamel finish and dark burgundy plastic keycaps with white lettering. The keyboard is arranged in a QWERTY layout and includes specialized keys for fractions, such as 1/4, 3/4, 1/2, 2/3, and 1/3, alongside British currency symbols including the pound sign. The central typeface guide is marked with a single stylized letter S in red ink. The typewriter is equipped with a two-tone red and black ribbon mounted on twin spools and a carriage with a scale numbering from 0 to 80. The lower-left edge of the case is marked with the text MADE IN ENGLAND. The unit is housed in its original tan fabric zippered carrying case with a top handle and brass-toned hardware.

Condition report:
The typewriter body shows minor scuffing and dust accumulation to the beige finish (photo 1). The ribbon is present but shows signs of drying and age. The interior lining of the zippered case exhibits heavy staining and dark circular marks where the typewriter mechanism has rested (photo 1). The exterior of the case shows significant scuffing and wear to the edges. Functional testing of the manual strike-bar mechanism has not been performed.
