Description
A professional collection of vintage technical drawing and architectural drafting instruments, housed in various original cases and containers. The set includes a diverse range of polished steel compasses, including bow, spring, and extension types, alongside dividers, ruling pens, and a protractor. The lot features an adjustable clear plastic set square held in a grey plastic case lid, a wooden folding ruler, and a sliding scale rule. Storage includes a red velvet-lined hard case with a white adhesive label reading S. BENNETT over STAEDTLER and 555, a black textured hard case containing further instruments, and a light wood hinged box containing various pens. Also included is a yellow and black cardboard box for an X-acto tool set, printed with the text TRIX, STENCIL, FRISKET, ERASER, RETOUCHING, MAT CUTTING, and STRIPPING. A green plastic case is marked with 9071 and 4H, and a small red box is marked PENS and MADE IN ENGLAND. The lot is completed by a large quantity of unused pencils in a clear plastic bag and a standard articulated wooden artist’s mannequin with jointed limbs.

Condition report:
The metal instruments show visible surface oxidation, tarnishing, and dust accumulation consistent with vintage use (photo 1). The red velvet lining of the primary case shows fading and wear to the fabric (photo 1). The wooden folding ruler and sliding scale rule exhibit surface wear and minor scuffing to the edges (photo 2). The various storage boxes and cases show external scuffing and dust (photo 1, 3). The pencils appear unused and remain bundled in their original plastic packaging (photo 1). The wooden mannequin is intact with functional joints (photo 3).
