Description
A brass vanity set featuring petit point embroidery and lace detailing. The collection comprises two oval vanity trays, a handheld mirror, a hairbrush, a clothes brush, and a comb. Each piece is constructed with an ornate brass filigree frame, including the trays which feature openwork scrollwork handles and decorative crests. The embroidery panels, protected under glass, depict traditional pastoral scenes with houses and gardens alongside various floral motifs in a palette of pink, green, and cream. The vanity trays are further detailed with inset cream lace doilies on a mesh ground, surrounding central needlepoint medallions. The brushes and mirror are finished with cream-coloured backs and colourful floral needlework. A dark brown faux-tortoiseshell comb is included. No maker marks or inscriptions are present on the exterior surfaces.

Condition report:
The set is in fair to good vintage condition. There is visible tarnishing and surface wear to the brass filigree metalwork across all pieces. The lace and needlework show typical age-related discolouration and minor staining. The mirror plate and glass panels remain intact. The brushes show light use and the comb is complete.
