Description
A collection of vintage vinyl 45 RPM singles comprising approximately 100 items from the 1960s to the 1980s. The assortment features a variety of pop and rock artists including early UK pressings for Roy Orbison on the London American Recordings label. One Roy Orbison disc is a 1966 pressing of Memories, licensed by MGM Records, featuring a black label with silver text and a red and tan company sleeve. Another Roy Orbison single is titled Today’s Teardrops, catalogue number 45-HL-U 9207. The collection includes notable 1980s singles with original picture sleeves, such as the Wham! single Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go on Epic Records featuring George Michael on the cover, and the Guns N’ Roses single Patience on Geffen Records featuring a silver-toned cherub motif. Other visible sleeves include a cherry-patterned design for Modern Romance. The records are housed in two vinyl-covered flip-top carrying cases in red and black, and one cardboard box.
Condition report:
The media shows varying degrees of use, with visible surface dust, light scratches, and fingerprints on the Roy Orbison and Guns N\' Roses discs (photo 1). The Wham! picture sleeve has significant creasing, edge wear, and a small tear at the top opening (photo 2). The Guns N\' Roses picture sleeve displays moderate ring wear and corner creasing (photo 2). Several paper company sleeves show browning, handling wear, and handwritten numbers such as 214 in ink (photo 3). The cardboard storage box is heavily worn with frayed edges and structural softening (photo 1). The vinyl carrying cases show surface scuffs but remain functional (photo 2).
