Description
A contemporary reproduction of a model M36 chained service dagger. The dagger features a nickel plated crossguard and pommel, with a grip finished in a maroon crackle effect coating. The grip is inset with a nickel eagle and swastika motif and a circular sig-runes emblem. The polished steel blade is etched with the motto Meine Ehre heißt Treue in Gothic script. The matching scabbard is finished in the same maroon crackle effect and is fitted with a nickel plated chain hanger. The chain consists of alternating rectangular links depicting sig-runes and the Totenkopf skull, connected to a Wotan’s knot cloverleaf hanger. The centre band of the scabbard is decorated with an interlocking geometric swastika pattern. No maker marks or codes are visible on the blade or fittings.

Condition report:
The dagger and scabbard appear in clean condition with the nickel plating showing a bright, polished finish and minimal signs of wear (photo 1). The maroon crackle finish on the grip and scabbard remains intact with no visible losses or chips (photo 2). The blade shows some minor surface marks and light oxidation spots, particularly near the crossguard junction (photo 6). The etched motto remains clear and dark. All chain links and the cloverleaf hanger are present and functional (photo 4).
