Description
A retro style tan moulded plastic portable transistor radio featuring a design based on the 1950s TR82 model. The cabinet is finished in a cream tone with horizontal ribbing to the lower section of the front and rear panels. It is equipped with a chrome-plated metal and plastic swing handle and a rear-mounted telescopic rod antenna. The front bears applied chrome-tone letters reading BUSH. A circular analog tuning dial is set into the front, featuring a gold-tone central knob and listing various European stations including LONDON, SCOTTISH, NORTHERN, THIRD, LIGHT, WEST, MIDLAND, WELSH, LUX’B’G, EIREANN, MUNICH, BRUSSELS, HIVERSUM, BUDA-PEST, MOTALA, ALLOUIS, MOSCOW, and LAHTI. Top-mounted controls comprise a VOLUME/OFF thumbwheel, push-buttons for FM, MW, and LW bands, a 3.5mm PHONES jack, and a TONE thumbwheel. The rear panel includes an AC mains power inlet and an adhesive label reading CAUTION ALWAYS ENSURE THAT THE A/C MAINS LEAD IS FULLY INSERTED PRIOR TO USE, alongside a black panel marked AC 230-240V~50Hz.

Condition report:
The plastic cabinet shows surface dust and grime accumulation within the recessed ribbing and around the top controls (photo 2). Minor surface scuffs and marks are visible to the plastic casing consistent with domestic handling (photo 1). The chrome plating on the handle and dial rim is largely intact with very minor instances of pitting (photo 3). The function and working status are untested.
