Description
An art glass bowl modelled in the form of a stylized crested bird. The piece is executed in the sommerso technique, featuring a graduated colour transition from a deep amber base through a yellow mid-section to a sapphire blue rim and neck. The body flares outward to form two pointed wings and a broad, flat tail. The arched neck terminates in a clear glass head with an applied clear glass crest and a pointed beak, accented with blue glass eyes. The base of the bowl is ground flat and polished. No maker marks or labels are visible on the piece.
