Lot 136:
Description
A pair of military cloth insignia patches featuring the stylized eagle or falcon motif associated with the Royal Air Force. Each badge consists of a crimson red embroidered bird in flight, oriented towards the left, set against a light khaki cotton drill backing. The construction is a single continuous strip of fabric intended for use as slip-on titles for tropical uniform epaulettes or for direct attachment to sleeves. The reverse shows a plain woven cream-coloured backing with visible stitching patterns from the embroidery. The embroidery is executed in a dense satin stitch with defined feathering on the wings and tail.
