Description
This lot consists of two pieces of whimsical ceramic ware attributed to Shelf Pottery of Halifax, produced in the late 20th century. The first item is a table lamp modeled as a multi-towered fantasy castle or fairy light, featuring textured conical roofs, spires, and recessed windows. The second item is a decorative cottage in the form of a teapot, featuring applied figures of mice, a spout, a handle, and architectural details. Both pieces are crafted from unglazed earthenware or stoneware with a matte surface, accented with a reddish-brown terracotta-coloured wash against an off-white body. The castle lamp is fitted with a white electrical cord, an in-line switch, and a standard UK three-pin plug.
Condition report:
The castle lamp is in generally good condition with no visible chips or cracks, though some surface dust is present in the crevices. The teapot-form cottage is missing its original lid. No other chips, cracks, or visible repairs are noted. All electrical items are sold as decorative objects and must be PAT tested by a qualified professional before any use.
