Description
A Wedgwood hand-decorated porcelain figural group titled Adoration from The Classical Collection. The piece depicts a young man and woman in Greco-Roman style attire. The female figure is seated upon a marble-effect plinth, while the male figure stands behind her, holding a small pink rose. Both figures wear leafy wreaths in their hair. The figurine is finished in a palette of pale blue, green, and flesh tones with hand-painted floral accents. The base features printed black marks including the Wedgwood logo, Porcelain, Made in England, The Classical Collection, Adoration, No. 197, In a limited edition of 3,000, Hand Decorated, and Modelled by Jenny Oliver in cursive script. It is dated 1996.
Height: approximately 30 cm.
Condition report:
The figurine is in very good professional condition. No chips, cracks, or signs of restoration are visible. Delicate areas, including fingers and applied rose petals, remain intact. A small piece of white string is attached to the reverse of the male figure.
