Description
A Leatherman Super Tool multi-tool featuring brushed stainless steel construction. The tool incorporates folding needle-nose pliers with integrated wire cutters and a hard-wire notch. The internal tool selection consists of a straight-edge clip point blade, a serrated sheepfoot blade, a wood saw, a double-sided metal and wood file, a Phillips head screwdriver, three flathead screwdrivers of varying sizes, an awl or punch, and a combined can and bottle opener. The handles are marked with ruler scales in both inches and centimetres. The handle is stamped with PAT PEND, LEATHERMAN, and SUPER TOOL, followed by PORTLAND OR. The main blade tang is stamped LEATHERMAN USA, and the plier head is marked USA with LEATHERMAN stamped in a circular pattern around the pivot. The patent pending designation indicates this is an early production example of this model, which was first introduced in 1994.
Condition report:
The tool is in good used condition. The stainless steel body exhibits light surface scratching and minor pocket wear consistent with age and use. The main straight-edge blade shows evidence of sharpening and light wear towards the tip. The serrated blade and saw appear to retain their original factory edges. All tools open and close with appropriate tension. No significant corrosion or structural damage is noted.
