Description
A sterling silver heart-shaped locket pendant suspended from a fine trace link chain. The front of the locket is decorated with an engraved foliate scroll design, while the reverse is plain. The reverse of the pendant features an incised rectangular mark containing the text STERLING SILVER. The locket is constructed with a side hinge and is attached to the chain via a simple bail. The fine trace link chain secures with a standard bolt ring clasp. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are visible on the chain or clasp components.
Condition report:
The item shows signs of age-related wear, including surface scratches and moderate tarnish across both the pendant and the chain. The hinge mechanism for the locket remains intact and functional.
