A 20th-century vitrine table or curio cabinet in the Louis XV style, constructed from light-toned pine with visible knots. The piece features a two-part design consisting of a glazed cabinet base and a separate, removable oval wooden tray that sits atop the unit. The oval body is fitted with four fixed glass panels and a single hinged glass door, providing a 360-degree view of the interior display compartment. The interior consists of a single open compartment with a flat wooden base. The cabinet is supported by four cabriole legs featuring carved floral and shell motifs at the knees and terminating in simple feet. The apron is decorated with a central carved foliate scroll, and the glazed section is bordered by two tiers of moulded bead-and-reel decoration. The door is equipped with a dark-finished circular metal pull knob and simple internal hinges. No maker’s marks or factory stamps are visible on the surfaces of the item.
Dimensions: Not provided.
Condition report:
The item is in good overall condition. The pine timber shows characteristic knots and minor surface marks, scuffs, and wear consistent with age and use. The glazing appears intact across all panels. The hardware is present and functional. The two-piece construction remains stable.
