Description
A lot consisting of two items: a miniature Union Jack desk flag and a cast metal eagle figurine. The desk flag is constructed from fabric and is mounted upon a chrome-plated metal pole. The pole is set into a weighted, polished circular base and features a spring-tensioned clip for securing the textile. The second item is a cast silver-toned white metal eagle, depicted with outspread wings and detailed plumage. The underside of the casting features a circular recess with a central aperture, suggesting use as a flagpole finial or a vehicle mascot. The form is similar in design to automobilia mascots produced by Desmo and other mid-20th-century manufacturers, though no maker marks are present.

Condition report:
The flag exhibits significant fraying and wear to the fly edge consistent with age and use. The chrome finish on the pole and base is generally bright with some minor surface scratching. The eagle casting is in good condition with a light aged patina and minor oxidation visible within the recessed areas of the feathers. No structural repairs or damage are evident.
