Description
A Binatone Colour TV Game MK 6 video game console system, model 01-4761, dating from the late 1970s. This first-generation home gaming system is a pong-style console featuring six built-in games: Tennis, Squash (Practice), Squash, Football, Target, and Shooting. The main unit is constructed from brown and cream plastic and features a control panel with toggle switches for Power, Sound, Speed, Angle, Bat Size, and Serve selection. The interface includes a blue manual serve button, a white start button, a sliding game selector, and a central circular speaker grille. The set includes a pair of wired handheld paddle controllers, each featuring a brown rotary dial, and a black plastic wired light gun accessory for use with the shooting game modes. The console and accessories are presented in the original illustrated cardboard packaging with internal protective polystyrene inserts. The Binatone crown logo and model identification are printed on the console face, and the manufacturer name is molded into the side of the light gun.
Condition report:
The console and peripherals are in good cosmetic condition with visible surface dust. Wiring appears intact. The original cardboard box shows significant signs of age and storage wear, including scuffing, creasing, and small tears to the cardboard flaps. The system is sold as untested for electrical functionality.
