Description
This lot comprises an assortment of decorative objects, metalware, and various collectibles. The collection includes a trio of cast metal theatrical masks representing comedy and tragedy, finished with a verdigris green patina. A mechanical music box with a visible movement is housed in a silver-toned metal case and presented in a black velvet-lined box. The lot features several silver-plated trinket boxes, including one with a high-relief floral lid and another with a circular form.
Artistic items include a miniature reproduction of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa on gold leaf, with a label marked 23 kt. Reproduction d’art sur feuille d’or, and a small framed landscape print marked REP. S. MARINO. A larger gilt-framed landscape print is also present. A tall, hand-painted wooden folk art figure is decorated with colourful geometric patterns in shades of green, red, and blue.
Additional items include a silver-toned hip flask, a vintage metal stapler marked OFREX Robust, a metal tripod stand, and a set of collapsible metal cups marked POP UP PINT. A heavy clear glass paperweight contains internal bubble inclusions, and a small red glass bowl features two heart motifs made of white beads. The lot also contains a rectangular embossed brown box with a relief scene of figures in traditional dress, a novelty clothed duck figurine, a black handbell, a collection of thimbles, a metal animal figure, and a keychain with charms. One small white protective pouch is marked Christofle Paris.
Condition report:
The items are in varied, used condition. Surface patina, tarnishing, and wear are visible on the metal components consistent with age and use. The embossed box shows some surface wear and scuffing. Glass and ceramic elements appear intact upon visual inspection. The lot is housed in a blue plastic crate.
