Description
A collection of Chinese export-style desktop and calligraphy items, likely dating to the late 20th century. The group features a small dark wood jewellery chest with brass corner mounts, a front latch, and a hinged lid, the interior lined with red patterned silk and divided into multiple compartments. A teal silk-covered presentation box contains three calligraphy brushes with black handles and tapered white hair tips. A long yellow-gold silk-covered box houses a rolled scroll. A small red silk-covered box contains a carved light green stone seal, possibly soapstone, topped with a shishi or lion-dog finial, alongside a small blue and white porcelain paste pot decorated with an underglaze dragon. The interior lid of the seal box contains a paper label printed with the name LESLEY and the transliterated Chinese characters 莱斯利 (Lai si li).

Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition. The silk-covered presentation boxes show minor age-related wear and light fraying at the edges. The wooden chest exhibits minor surface scratches and light oxidation to the brass hardware. The stone seal shows traces of red cinnabar ink on the base consistent with use.
