Description
This lot comprises two items of Rolls-Royce automobilia. The first is an etched plate featuring a side-profile illustration of a vintage motor car. The top of the plate is inscribed with ROLLS and ROYCE flanking a central monogram. A line of text at the bottom reads 1907 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost 40/50 h.p. 6 cyl. The plate is manufactured from copper. The second item is a small rectangular commemorative badge or plaque with rounded corners. The design features a historical scene with several figures standing beside an early motor car, positioned above the words ROLLS ROYCE in a bold block typeface. The item is constructed from a white metal alloy with a dark recessed background and light-coloured infill. Similar examples of this badge are frequently identified as vintage promotional belt buckles.
Condition report:
The copper plate exhibits surface oxidation, tarnish, and scattered minor scratches consistent with age. The etched illustration and text remain legible and well-defined. The commemorative badge shows general surface wear and loss to the light-coloured infill on the lettering and surrounding decorative elements.
