Description
An assortment of vintage enamel and metal lapel pins and badges, primarily consisting of commemorative, institutional, and souvenir items. The collection features several pieces relating to the naval training establishment H.M.S. Ganges, including crests with crown and anchor motifs. Canadian interest is represented through a Lethbridge Centennial 1885-1985 pin, various maple leaf and flag designs, and a Port Alberni Pageant ribbon pin. Other identifiable items include a guitar-shaped Hard Rock Cafe souvenir pin, a Fight For Life AIR 5 emergency services badge, and various heraldic, animal, and seasonal figures. The pieces are presented in various formats, including some mounted on a blue velvet-covered display board, others pinned to a piece of cardboard with handwritten pricing, and several contained within plastic bags or small protective cases. The items appear to be constructed from various metals with multi-coloured enamel detailing.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally good vintage condition, showing typical signs of age-related wear including minor surface scratches, tarnishing, and light oxidation to the metal components. The enamel on most pieces remains largely intact. The cardboard and plastic mounting materials show significant wear, creasing, and age-related discolouration.
