Description
A trio of cobalt blue glass bottles designed for the storage of medicinal or poisonous substances. The collection includes three bottles of varying size and form. The largest vessel is rectangular, embossed with the words POISONOUS and NOT TO BE TAKEN in capitalised serif lettering. It features vertical rows of raised tactile warning studs along the side panels. The medium-sized bottle is hexagonal in form, with three sides displaying a raised diamond-textured pattern and one side embossed with NOT TO BE TAKEN. The smallest bottle is also hexagonal with a diamond-textured body. All three items are constructed from moulded cobalt blue glass and possess flared necks without stoppers. There are no visible manufacturer’s marks or patent numbers.
Condition report:
All three bottles are in good condition, showing no signs of cracks, chips, or repairs. The raised tactile patterns and embossed lettering are well-preserved. There is minor internal cloudiness and surface wear consistent with age and use.
