Description
This lot comprises an eclectic collection of vintage objects and printed ephemera. Key components include several Royal Worcester porcelain egg coddlers featuring various fruit and floral motifs, with some examples retained in their original retail packaging. Printed works include a 1935 W.D. & H.O. Wills booklet titled The Reign of King George V 1910 – Silver Jubilee – 1935, a British Post Office Churchill 1874-1974 mint stamp folder, and a small green book for The Mary Rose 1511-1545. Decorative and novelty pieces feature a wooden Television Savings Box with printed graphics, a handcrafted wooden motor scooter model, a small carved wood mask in a red-lined box, a pewter-toned Buddha relief plaque, and a boxed set of glass marbles. The collection is completed by various utilitarian and scientific items, including several sharpening stones, a folding magnifying glass, an Agfa DIN exposure calculator dial, a cased travel shaving kit with brush, a small compass, and Russian-style lacquered wooden spoons.
Condition report:
The items exhibit varying degrees of age-related wear and use. Printed booklets and cardboard packaging show visible toning, creasing, and edge wear. Utilitarian items like the sharpening stones and tools show significant surface wear and oxidation to metal parts. Wooden items display minor scuffs and surface marks. The porcelain egg coddlers appear largely intact with minor surface soiling.
