Description
A collection of vintage soft toys comprising teddy bears of various sizes and styles and a plush elephant. The largest bear is finished in honey-coloured plush and is dressed in teal blue corduroy dungarees with metal buckles; it features black glass or plastic eyes and a black stitched nose. Included in the group is a bear with a distinctive elongated muzzle and humpback profile, resembling designs from the early to mid-20th century. A golden-brown bear features amber-coloured glass eyes and a vertically stitched nose with tan-coloured fabric paw pads. A smaller light-grey bear is designed with a tilted head. The grey plush elephant features an upright trunk and a pink felt mouth insert. These items are constructed from mohair or synthetic plush and feature jointed limbs.
Condition report:
All items exhibit signs of age and significant play-wear consistent with their vintage. There is noticeable thinning and loss to the plush or mohair fabric across the figures, particularly on the muzzles and limbs. Minor surface soiling and dust are present throughout. No manufacturer tags, buttons, or original packaging are present.
