Lot 80:
Description
This collection features an original Nintendo Game Boy handheld console, model DMG-01, alongside an assortment of period-accurate accessories and documentation. The console is powered by a custom 8-bit Sharp LR35902 processor and contains 8 KB of internal Work RAM and 8 KB of Video RAM. It is fitted with a 2.6-inch diagonal reflective monochrome STN LCD screen featuring a resolution of 160 x 144 pixels. The lot includes a blue hardshell carrying case with a red handle and Super Mario Land artwork, a black nylon Nintendo branded soft pouch with red trim, and a Battletoads game cartridge. Accompanying documentation consists of a Pokémon Trainer’s Guide booklet (product code DMG-P-APSU-NHAU). The collection is completed by two grey plastic clip-on screen magnifiers, a Tecnoplus rechargeable battery pack, and a red nylon wrist strap. The Pokémon guide carries a region code typically associated with Australasian releases. This device uses external cartridge-based storage and does not have internal user data storage; as such, no data wiping was necessary. Serial Number: G24052724.
Condition report:
The Game Boy console shell shows significant and uneven UV yellowing across the plastic housing, typical for its age. There is general surface wear including minor scuffs and marks from use. The screen lens displays light surface scratching and some visible dust or residue behind the plastic. The battery compartment cover is present and the contacts appear clear of major corrosion. The items in this lot are offered in an untested condition.
