Description
A trio of vintage binoculars of various manufacture with their associated cases. The largest pair is of Soviet origin, featuring Porro prisms and marked with the Cyrillic characters БПЦ 12×40 and MADE IN USSR on the housing. This pair is fitted with blue-coated objective lenses, a tan leather neck strap, and bears the serial number N7670149 on the central hinge cap. It is contained within a black hard-shell case with a metal clasp. The second pair features the tasco brand name on the central focusing wheel and is housed in a black zippered soft case. The third pair is a compact model branded MIRANDA and is marked 8 x 30 COATED OPTICS on the housing; it is also accompanied by a black zippered soft case. The bodies are primarily constructed from metal with textured synthetic coverings.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of age and use. Surface dust is present on both the housings and the optics. There are minor scuffs to the external surfaces of the binoculars. The carrying cases show visible wear, including fraying to the straps and scuffing to the edges and surfaces of the soft cases.
