Description
A vintage set of indoor carpet bowls produced by B & A, frequently associated with the brand name Banda, and manufactured in England. The set is contained within its original green cardboard storage box, which features a circular red and gold label on the lid identifying it as B&A Bowls The Indoor Carpet Game. The collection comprises eight black composition bowls, each detailed with concentric grip rings and a different coloured central identification disk in shades of red, blue, green, and white. The set includes a single small, solid white jack. Accompanying the bowls is a green circular rubber footer mat with a textured concentric-ring surface, embossed with B & A and PATENT around the rim. Also included is an original red paper instruction booklet titled RULES OF B & A CARPET BOWLS.
Condition report:
The set is in good vintage condition. The composition bowls and white jack exhibit light surface wear and minor scuffing consistent with previous use. The original cardboard box remains structurally sound but shows signs of age including edge wear, scuffing, and corner bumping. The green rubber mat is intact and retains flexibility. The instruction booklet is present and complete with some minor creasing.
