Lot 100:
Description
This vintage handheld torch is constructed from a dark burgundy-brown ribbed material, likely Bakelite or a similar early plastic. The cylindrical body features longitudinal ribbing for enhanced grip, terminating in a head finished with a knurled bezel. A prominent convex clear lens is fitted at the front. The device is operated by a sliding brass-toned metal on/off switch mounted on the side. Visible fasteners include a small metal screw located below the switch and an additional small aperture near the head. No manufacturer’s marks, model numbers, or country of origin are visible on the external housing. The internal battery compartment and electrical components have not been examined.
Condition report:
The torch shows signs of age and previous use. There are surface abrasions and minor scuffing across the plastic body. The metal components, including the sliding switch and screw, exhibit tarnishing and wear. The convex lens has light surface scratching. The item is sold as found; the working condition is undetermined and the internal state is unknown.
