Description
An assortment of mid-20th century smoking and vanity accessories. The lot includes a gold-tone metal combination cigarette case and vanity compact, featuring a dark textured leatherette exterior panel and an internal mirror. The collection also comprises several lighters: a silver-tone flip-top lighter embossed with an eagle and EAGLE DOUBLE FLAME; a white novelty lighter in the form of a Philip Morris cigarette pack marked SUPER LIGHTER; and a white egg-shaped desk lighter with a black ignition mechanism and partial text reading ESPA to the side. Included are two matchbox covers, one in embossed silver-tone metal depicting a multi-masted sailing ship and a plain white plastic cover.
Condition report:
Items show visible signs of wear and age, including surface scratches and oxidation to the metal components. The plastic items exhibit some yellowing. The compact mirror shows minor foxing or desilvering. All mechanisms are untested and the functional condition of the lighters is unknown.
