Description
A contemporary mixed-media bird sculpture fashioned with a central body of carved wood featuring an orange-brown polished finish. The head, wings, tail, and legs are constructed from black-finished metal. The wings consist of shaped metal plates secured to the wooden core with visible rivets. The head is detailed with an open beak and the feet are made from welded metal rods. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the exterior of the piece. The style is consistent with artisanal decorative objects found in the contemporary British market.
Length: approximately 33 cm – 35 cm.
Condition report:
The sculpture is in overall good display condition. There are minor signs of age and wear, including small areas of paint or patina loss on the metal components, most notably on the wing and tail edges. Light surface scuffing is present on the wooden body. No structural damage or significant repairs are evident.
