Description
A contemporary matched three-piece writing and desk set presented in a polished rectangular wooden case. The set consists of a ballpoint pen with a twist-action mechanism, a mechanical pencil, and a letter opener. Each piece features a barrel or handle crafted from turned reddish-brown hardwood, complemented by gold-toned metal appointments including clips, tips, and decorative central bands. The presentation box is lined with green velvet-effect fabric featuring recessed compartments for each item.
The lot also includes a diverse collection of decorative items and curiosities: a vintage green cardboard box for Wills’s Woodbine Dominoes; a hand-painted wooden carving of a gnome seated atop a mushroom; an assortment of white metal miniature figures, including soldiers and a horse-drawn carriage; a pair of faceted glass doorknobs with brass-toned hardware; a cast brass-toned figure of a lizard; a miniature carved wooden duck; a framed relief artwork depicting figures in a textured, multi-coloured finish; a small porcelain egg-shaped trinket box with gilded accents; and a bat-themed bottle stopper.

Condition report:
The wooden desk set appears to be in good, well-preserved condition with minimal signs of use; the wood finish is intact and the gold-toned fittings show no significant brassing. The vintage dominoes box shows expected age-related wear, including rubbing to the edges and surfaces. The miniature figures and brass lizard exhibit a natural patination. The glass doorknobs and porcelain egg appear free from chips or cracks.
