Description
An S.T. Dupont gas pocket lighter featuring a rectangular body decorated with a vertical engine-turned ribbed pattern. The item is gold-plated, as indicated by the 20μ mark and small square hallmark located on the base. The base is further inscribed with S.T. Dupont in script, PARIS, and MADE IN FRANCE in block capitals. A hand-stamped serial number, reading 14680J, is visible on the bottom edge. The lighter features a flip-top lid and a knurled roller ignition mechanism. It is presented with a black fabric protective slipcase featuring a curved top and stitched edges.
Condition report:
The lighter is in used condition, showing light surface scratches and minor wear to the gold plating on the corners and edges consistent with age and handling. There is a noticeable accumulation of carbon residue and soot within the internal mechanism and around the burner nozzle. The fabric slipcase shows minor signs of wear and lint. The lighter is sold as untested for functionality.
