Description
An assortment of vintage novelty table lighters and desk accessories featuring various decorative forms and metallic finishes. The collection includes a brass-toned lighter shaped as a saxophone, a copper-toned penny-farthing bicycle, and a silver-plated chalice-style lighter on a fluted pedestal base in the style of Ronson. The group also contains a chrome-plated lighter designed after a vintage camera or flash attachment with an integrated side gauge, a small rectangular lighter featuring a starburst motif and the inscription Royal Musical, a gold-toned cylindrical striker lighter, and a copper-toned bottle-form item on a weighted plastic base. These pieces are constructed from a variety of materials including brass, copper, and chrome-plated alloys, with some incorporating plastic or composite components.
Condition report:
The collection exhibits signs of age and use consistent with vintage items. There is visible surface tarnish and oxidation to the metallic components, along with minor surface scratches and general wear to the finishes. The mechanical components and ignition systems have not been tested for functionality.
