Description
A trio of carving utensils comprising a carving knife, a carving fork with a hinged safety guard, and a sharpening steel. Each piece features a natural stag horn handle finished with polished metal ferrules and end caps. The steel blade of the knife and the tines of the fork are polished, while the sharpening steel has a textured cylindrical rod. Maker marks are present on the base of the knife blade and the bolster of the sharpening steel, although these are not clearly legible for identification. The set is housed in a fitted presentation case with a blue fabric exterior and a white satin and purple velvet-lined interior.
Case length: 37 cm.
Condition report:
The set is in good vintage condition with light surface scratches and minor signs of age to the metal components. The stag handles are well-preserved. The presentation case shows external wear and fading, and the interior white satin lining exhibits some staining and discolouration.
