Description
An extensive collection of various commemorative and sporting medals, medallions, and related memorabilia. The group includes several finisher medals for the London Marathon across multiple years, featuring ribbons with text such as London Marathon and Nutrasweet London Marathon. International interest includes a Marathon de Lyon 1983 medal and a square gilt medal inscribed for the Verband der Querschnittsgelahmten Österreichs (Austrian Paraplegic Association). Local sporting awards include a cased medal for the West Kirby and District Darts League 2001/02, J. Tomlinson Trophy Winners, and several golf medals, including one inscribed BMGC June 1998 Medal Div 5 Winner W.H. Lawrence. A grouping of pigeon racing awards features a cased gilt medal for the West Cheshire Championship Club 2003 Niort awarded to W.H. Andrews, featuring a relief of racing pigeons. Military interest is represented by a large bronze-tone medallion featuring the dragon of Wales, inscribed 4th BN R.W.F. (4th Battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers). Fraternal and miscellaneous items include a colourful enamel and gilt emblem for the Royal Arch featuring a central triangle and HKT markings, a bronze-coloured medallion for Comédie Française 1680-1951, a Walt Disney World Mickey Mouse medallion, and a S.C.F.F.C. Trophée 1991 cased medal. A large quantity of loose medals and tokens are contained within a patterned box.

Condition report:
The collection is in varied condition. Several pieces remain in their original presentation cases with minor interior wear. Loose items show expected surface wear, light scratches, and patina consistent with age and storage. Fabric ribbons show some fraying and creases. The lot is sold as seen.
