Description
A vintage Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48K home computer system, an iconic example of British computing history from the early 1980s. The set features the original black plastic console with its signature rainbow stripe motif on the lower right corner and characteristic grey rubber keys. The keyboard is printed with various Sinclair BASIC commands and functions. This lot includes the official Sinclair ZX power supply unit with a UK plug, a boxed copy of Computer Scrabble software, and the original user guide featuring an orange-toned pictorial cover. The components are housed within the original expanded polystyrene inner protective packaging, with portions of the original cardboard outer retail box visible. The console and power adapter are both embossed with the sinclair brand logo. Manufactured by Sinclair Research Ltd in the United Kingdom, circa 1982.
Condition report:
The computer and accessories appear to be in good cosmetic condition with typical signs of light age-related wear. The rubber keys are intact and the console casing shows no significant cracks or damage. The manual and software box show minor shelf wear and light creasing to the edges. The polystyrene packaging is complete but exhibits some minor discolouration and typical surface abrasions. This item is sold as an untested collectible; functionality has not been verified.
