Description

A pair of antique cast brass spurs, attributed to August Buermann, following an early 20th-century U.S. military pattern. The spurs feature U-shaped frames with straight, blunt shanks and lack rowels. Each is fitted with adjustable dark brown leather straps, which are secured by small metal buckles. This design is characteristic of cavalry or officer spurs from the late 19th or early 20th century. No maker’s marks or military stampings are visible on the metal surfaces from the current perspective.

Condition report:

The brass frames exhibit a natural aged patina with areas of surface tarnishing. The leather straps show substantial signs of age and wear, including significant surface cracking, brittleness, and fraying. The metal buckles display some light oxidation.
