Description
A portable mechanical wind-up metronome by Wittner, Germany. This Taktell Piccolo model features a compact pyramidal form with a rounded top, constructed from a moulded black plastic casing. The front of the instrument displays an embossed diamond-shaped emblem containing a stylized three-pronged motif, with the text Taktell and piccolo embossed directly below. It is equipped with a side-mounted metal winding key and contains a metal internal mechanism. The design is characteristic of the mid-20th-century Piccolo range intended for portability.
Condition report:
The item is in used condition. The black plastic exterior exhibits significant surface scratching, scuffing, and fine abrasions throughout, consistent with regular handling and age. The metal winding key is present. The internal mechanical functionality and timing accuracy have not been tested. No cracks or major chips are visible in the plastic casing.
