Lot 95:
Description
A gold-plated S T Dupont pocket lighter featuring a deeply incised grid or cross-hatch pattern across all exterior surfaces. The rectangular lighter is topped with a red square inlay, possibly lacquer or enamel, on the flip-top lid. The item is accompanied by a coordinating reddish-brown textured leatherette presentation case. The protective case is finished with gold-toned metal corner accents and features a small central emblem on the front flap; however, the characters on the emblem are not clearly legible. The design and decorative pattern are highly consistent with the Ligne 1 series by S.T. Dupont.
Condition report:
Both the lighter and the case show minor surface wear, including fine scratches and light tarnishing commensurate with age and use. The lighter is shown with the lid in the open position; the internal mechanism is present, but functionality and fuel retention remain untested. The case exhibits light rubbing to the leatherette and metal fittings.
