Description
A collection of several vintage pocket lighters and a circular pocket accessory featuring various metal finishes and decorative motifs. The group includes a tall vertical lighter with a ribbed silver-toned finish; a plain rectangular silver-toned lighter; and a horizontal lighter with a wavy engine-turned pattern. Two flip-top lighters of Zippo-style design are present: one engraved with a mesa landscape and Monument Valley, the other with floral scrollwork and the name Michel. Also included is a small gold-toned lighter featuring a blue promotional label for Gauloises Caporal with a winged helmet logo and 20 Cigarettes text. A circular silver-toned item, featuring a mark reading K L I T and MADE IN FRANCE, displays a sunburst engine-turned design with a central screw-button mechanism. The collection comprises various mechanical actions including semi-automatic and flip-top designs.
Condition report:
Items exhibit overall surface wear consistent with age and use. Notable tarnish, light scratching, and scuffing are present throughout the collection. Some oxidisation and pitting to metal surfaces is evident. The Gauloises lighter shows wear to the blue label edges. The functional state of ignition mechanisms, flints, and seals has not been tested.
