Description
An assortment of vintage writing instruments and desk accessories. The collection features a lever-fill fountain pen manufactured from marbled blue and purple celluloid, fitted with a gold-toned metal clip and side filling lever. The pen is shown in a capped position with the nib material and size not visible. Also included is a large desk rocker blotter featuring a decoratively embossed brass-toned metal base and a turned wooden handle, used for drying wet ink. The lot further contains a circular glass inkwell with a hinged metal lid, a compact metal-cased pocket drafting set containing drawing instruments including compasses, and a letter opener with a white ivorine handle and a metal blade.
Condition report:
The items are in good vintage condition. The fountain pen shows minor surface scratching and light brassing to the gold-toned clip and lever. The rocker blotter and the lid of the glass inkwell exhibit some oxidation and surface tarnishing consistent with age. The drafting set case and letter opener show signs of light wear and minor surface marks from use.
