Lot 150:
Description
A vintage clockwork toy depicting a scenic bus route and transport terminal, attributed to Arnold (Western Germany). The item is constructed from lithographed tinplate and features a green rectangular base with two yellow circular tracks. Three small tinplate buses are positioned on the tracks. The layout includes two terminal buildings with black and white chequered roofs and a central hexagonal-roofed tunnel structure with a white-spotted green pattern. The front vertical panel is decorated with lithographed scenes of figures on stairs, buses, and a blue motor car. A small circular emblem is visible on the lower left front edge, though the details are not clearly legible. The toy is operated by a spring-driven clockwork mechanism and is accompanied by a separate metal winding key.
Condition report:
The toy is presented in good vintage condition. The lithographed surfaces retain bright colours, with some instances of minor surface scratching, small areas of paint loss, and light oxidation typical of age and use. All three buses appear original to the set. A separate metal winding key is included. The mechanical function is untested. No original packaging is present.
