A second, smaller inkwell consists of a square clear glass base with a black synthetic lid. The collection also features a polished horn vessel, currently used as a holder for a decorative metal pick, suitable for use as a desk tidy. A Waterford crystal desk clock is present, featuring a Roman numeral dial marked with the maker name and set into a stepped, faceted glass base. Also included is a presentation case with a black exterior and orange velvet and silk lining. The interior lid is gold-stamped with the merchant mark: Willy Meyer, Inh. A. Meyer, Uhren- Goldwaren, Besteck- u. Optik, Ronneburg i. Thür., Schloß-Str. 8. The case contains two silver-toned thimbles and a small metal medal.
Condition report:
Items are in as-found condition with visible surface dust and grime. The inkwells show internal residue from dried ink. The glass components appear free of major chips or cracks, though typical minor surface abrasions consistent with age and use are present. The presentation case shows external wear and scuffing.
