Description
A vintage Ronson Banjo model automatic pocket lighter, featuring a distinctive hourglass-shaped body. The lighter is constructed from metal with an engine-turned striated linear pattern on both faces. It features a top-mounted one-motion automatic ignition mechanism. The side of the lighter body is incised with the Ronson brand name. The circular fuel screw on the base is inscribed with Ronson and World’s First Automatic Lighter. Accompanying the lighter is a small brown suede-effect storage pouch with a snap-button closure and hand-stitched edging.
Condition report:
The lighter shows signs of age and regular use, including surface scratches and pitting, particularly around the upper mechanical components. Functionality is untested. The pouch is in worn condition with significant fading and two notable areas at the bottom corners where the outer fabric has worn through. The snap fastener remains intact.
