Description
This lot comprises a varied collection of mid-20th century printing and typesetting equipment, primarily originating from the Netherlands. The collection includes a rectangular metal sample plate displaying five Dutch typeface styles: Lettertype Formeel, Lettertype Dagblad, Lettertype Speels, Lettertype Sierlijk, and Lettertype Gothic. A large relief-cut metal printing cliche is present, depicting a modernist-style soldier figure with a rifle. The lot features a curved cartographic printing plate showing a map of Sudbayern at a 1:500,000 scale, accompanied by a square metal container with curved internal supports. Also included are several elongated brass embossing plates with debossed text, with inscriptions including COMITE FEBRUARISTAKING, W.V.V. UIT DE RECLAME, and S Y X. A large quantity of individual metal letter stencils in various fonts and sizes completes the collection.

Typeface sample plate: approximately 18cm x 15cm.
Condition report:
The items are in used vintage condition, displaying signs of age and industrial use. Observable defects include surface oxidation, tarnish, and residual ink. Some thinner brass plates and stencils show minor bending and distortion. The large soldier cliche has a pitted and worn surface texture.
