Description
A collection of vintage and antique teddy bears in various styles, including examples resembling mid-20th-century British production. The group features bears constructed from mohair, wool plush, and synthetic plush. Construction details include stitched noses and mouths, with paw pads finished in materials such as felt, fabric, and leatherette. The larger bears likely contain wood wool or kapok stuffing. The collection includes a bear in light golden curly mohair with leatherette paw pads and another smaller bear featuring synthetic plush and a red ribbon bow. Condition report:
The collection exhibits varying degrees of age and significant play-wear. The large central bear shows extensive fur loss, a missing eye, a tear near the remaining eye, and worn foot pads with internal stuffing visible. The golden bear to the left is in poor condition with heavy fur loss and is missing both eyes. The curly mohair bear has matted fur and is missing one amber-coloured eye. The small brown bear in the foreground is in relatively good condition with full plush and intact eyes.
