Description
A vintage Montblanc Carrera fountain pen dating from the early 1970s. This model features a matte black resin cap and finger grip section paired with a brushed metal barrel, likely manufactured from aluminium or stainless steel. The pen is fitted with a chrome-plated loop clip in a distinctive paperclip style. The iconic white Montblanc six-pointed snowcap logo is present on the flat finial of the cap and also on the end of the barrel. The stainless steel nib is engraved with the manufacturer name MONTBLANC. This series was originally introduced as a sporty, student-level line with design elements inspired by motor racing. It is designed to be used with standard cartridges or a compatible converter.
Condition report:
The pen is in good vintage condition. There is minor surface wear and light superficial scratches to the matte resin and brushed metal surfaces, consistent with age and regular use. The nib appears straight and shows no visible damage. The clip is secure and does not exhibit significant brassing or loss of plating.
