Description
This lot comprises an eclectic collection of items contained within a vintage black hard-shell suitcase with a tan fabric-lined interior. A prominent item is a red plastic manual tally counter marked Geobra, featuring five columns of numbered wheels. Organisational memorabilia includes a circular black embroidered Girl Guides patch with a gold trefoil and a small wicker basket containing various prize medals, one of which is attached to a red, white, and blue striped ribbon. Decorative pieces include a circular pewter-tone metal plaque depicting a three-masted sailing ship in high relief, a miniature framed landscape, a small metal turtle figure, and a gold-tone comedy mask. The collection also includes a wooden smoking pipe, a blue and white ceramic jug containing cocktail picks with spherical tops, and a black and white plush cat toy with a red heart-shaped nose and original retail tag. Tools and office items consist of a yellow wooden folding rule, a large bobbin of cream twine, and several wooden stamps. A Teacher’s Highland Cream branded slide-top wooden box and a white clock dial with gold-tone hands and Arabic numerals are also present.
Condition report:
The items are in varying vintage conditions, showing signs of use and age-related wear throughout. The suitcase interior lining exhibits visible staining and discolouration. Most metal and wooden objects show minor surface scuffing, oxidation, or marks consistent with age. The plush toy appears in well-preserved condition with the retail tag still attached. The lot is sold as found.
