Description
A Star Trek 30th Anniversary Edition limited edition VHS box set released by Paramount Pictures. This commemorative collection includes the first seven feature films of the franchise: Star Trek I: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, and Star Trek VII: Generations.
The set is housed in a deep burgundy-coloured presentation case with a hinged lid. The interior of the lid is decorated with a debossed United Federation of Planets emblem and four Starfleet command insignias. Each of the seven VHS tapes is contained within a matching burgundy cardboard slipcase, featuring gold-foil lettering on the spine displaying the series title and Roman numerals I through VII. Accompanying the films is a large-format, full-colour commemorative booklet containing production history, behind-the-scenes photography, and information regarding unproduced concepts.
The individual slipcase for Tape VI features the theatrical poster art with the tagline The Battle For Peace Has…, and Tape VII is titled Star Trek Generations with the tagline Two Captains, One Destiny. As a United Kingdom release, these tapes are in PAL format.
Condition report:
The exterior presentation box exhibits moderate shelf wear, including scuffing and rubbing to the edges, corners, and flat surfaces. The interior foam support remains intact and functional. The individual VHS slipcases show minor signs of handling and light surface dust. The commemorative booklet has a visible vertical crease or fold from storage. The VHS tapes appear to be in good visual condition but have not been tested for playback.
